How It All Began
In 1872, Đorđe Miladinović was born, now fondly known as “Deda Đorđe” (Grandfather Đorđe). A highly respected vintner from Drenovac, he once tended 4.5 hectares of vineyards and was widely known for producing high-quality wine and exceptional fruit brandy.
To the honor and pride of the entire Miladinović family, Deda Đorđe survived the Albanian Golgotha and proudly received the Albanian Commemorative Medal.
Over time and through generations, the vineyards gradually diminished and were eventually lost, but the family tradition, memories, and respect for their ancestors endured. His writings and recipes for producing our beloved spirits were passed down from one generation to the next, eventually reaching the present day, where they continue to infuse every drop produced on the family estate with the spirit of the past.
Inspiration
Inspired by his family history, some 149 years later, in 2010, Đorđe’s great-great-grandson, Predrag Miladinović, felt the desire to revive the old family tradition and breathe new life into the family estate by establishing a winery and distillery called “DREMINA.” The name of the cellar itself was inspired by our family, which lies at the heart of our entire story. It was derived from the name of our village, Drenovac, combined with the first letters of the owner’s children’s names, Minja and Nađa. The brand by which we are now widely recognized, “Deda Đorđe,” was named in honor of and gratitude to our ancestor.
The Idea
The idea was to produce exceptional wine and brandy according to traditional recipes, to be enjoyed among family and friends. That is how it all began, followed by a growing demand for one more bottle. Almost unintentionally, we began adapting the estate, expanding our production capacity, and modernizing our production technology, while taking great care to preserve our family heritage and the art of winemaking and brandy-making entrusted to us. At the same time, we have remained committed to continuously improving the quality and refining our wines and spirits.
Today, Dremina represents a modern rural estate wrapped in the spirit of tradition and history. Thus, within buildings dating back as far as 1920, and with minimal changes made during restoration and adaptation, a process driven by love and care takes place — the production of our brandies and wines.
TASTING
Where exceptional brandy and wine meet the right people, there is always time for good company and enjoying the moment with family and friends. What began in earlier years primarily for our own needs gradually evolved, through expansion and adaptation, into the ideal space for this purpose. Above the wine cellar is a small tasting room, followed by a larger hall for celebrations and festivities. The estate also features an authentic house dating back to 1920, complete with a traditional fireplace, designed for more intimate gatherings and smaller groups.

Every glass of brandy and every glass of wine is a unique combination of the richness of the soil, the warmth of the sun, the finest varieties of grapes and plums, traditional knowledge, and love.
